Woman accused of deadly wrong-way DUI crash on I-75 in Collier County had a BAC of 0.213, FHP says

Genise Taylor, 24, who is accused of causing a fatal DUI crash while driving the wrong way on I-75 in Collier County Wednesday morning, had a BAC of 0.213, the Florida Highway Patrol said.According to the FHP arrest report, troopers responded to a hospital where Taylor was under medical care after a three-vehicle crash that killed a 96-year-old man, identified as Arthur Gilbert.Taylor is accused of drunk driving and driving the wrong way on I-75, causing the crash.Troopers spoke with Taylor, who told them that all she knew of the crash was that "someone had hit her," according to the report.Troopers noted that Taylor smelled strongly of alcohol in the hospital room.Taylor detailed her day to the troopers and said she had taken her daughter to Chuck E. Cheese in Naples before putting her to bed at 9:30 p.m.Taylor continued, saying she had then gone out for the evening at around 11:30 p.m. and met a friend at Blue Martini in the Mercado Plaza in Naples. She then met someone at the Waffle House off of Pine Ridge Road, Taylor said.Troopers asked Taylor how much she had to drink that night, to which she replied that she only had a single glass of wine at the Blue Martini.
