Witnesses sought after pedestrian killed in hit-and-run on I-84
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Authorities are seeking to find answers after a man was killed in a pedestrian hit-and-run on I-84 near Hood River early Sunday morning. Just before 6 a.m., Oregon State Police said they responded to reports of a fatal crash near milepost 66 in Hood River County. "The preliminary investigation indicated a person, Huner Clay Miller (24) of Hermiston, was walking in the travel lane for an unknown reason when he was struck by an unknown vehicle traveling westbound in the slow lane on I-84 near Hood River," OSP said in a press release. "Miller was pronounced dead at the scene." There was also a black Harley Davidson motorcycle found several miles east of the crash but it's unknown if Miller was associated with it, authorities said. The highway was impacted for a couple of hours after the crash, as the investigation unfolded, officials said.
