Crash in El Dorado County partially closes Highway 50 near Riverton
A crash caused a temporary shutdown of Highway 50 Saturday in El Dorado County, the California Highway Patrol said.The roadway was open to all traffic as of 2:30 p.m.Caltrans first said the roadway was partially closed around 8:45 a.m. due to a crash. Then, just before 9:30 a.m., the CHP said the crash involved a commercial vehicle, which caused a hazmat incident. Around 1 p.m., Caltrans said there was one-way traffic control at Ice House Road, near Riverton.
