Wayne Co. Coroner: 1 dead following single-vehicle crash
WAYNE COUNTY, Ind. -- A Muncie man was pronounced dead after a single-vehicle crash on Tuesday morning, according to the Wayne County Coroner's Office. At around 1:40 a.m. on Tuesday, first responders were dispatched to the area of North U.S. 35 and State Road 1 on a reported single-vehicle crash, a news release from the office stated. The driver of the vehicle, identified as 25-year-old William Heath III, was pronounced dead at the scene. The office determined that Heath reportedly died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. A passenger in the vehicle was transported to a local hospital for treatment, the office stated. Officials with the office stated that the circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
