VSP investigating fatal crash in Scott County
SCOTT COUNTY, Va. (WJHL) - The Virginia State Police (VSP) announced on Monday that it was investigating a fatal crash that took place on July 16 in Scott County. According to VSP, a 1999 Mazda Miata was traveling down Route 58 when it lost control near Route 758 and went off the right side of the road. The car then hit an embankment and rolled over. Caylub G. Arend, 20, of Bristol, TN, was pronounced dead at the scene; he was wearing a seatbelt, according to VSP.
