Vehicle hits tree, catches fire in deadly Seminole County crash
A deadly crash shut down a stretch of State Road 46 in Geneva for several hours overnight.According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday near Lake Proctor Road.The Seminole County Fire Department said the crash involved one vehicle. Officials said the vehicle hit a tree and caught fire.All lanes of SR-46 were closed for about seven hours while troopers investigated the crash. The roadway reopened just before 6 a.m. Wednesday.The Florida Highway Patrol has not released additional information about the person who was killed or what led up to the crash.This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
