USPS worker killed in hit-and-run crash in Kansas City
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A United States Postal Service (USPS) delivery driver was killed in a hit-and-run on Wednesday night after being thrown from a van, according to police. The Kansas City Police Department says officers were called to the intersection of East 30th and Benton Boulevard on reports of a deadly crash just before 7:20 p.m. According to KCPD, a white USPS Dodge van was traveling south on Benton Boulevard. At the intersection of East 30th, a grey Chevrolet Equinox traveling westbound ran a stop sign and hit the USPS van. The van rolled onto the driver's side, and the postal worker was partially ejected. They died at the scene. The Equinox driver fled from the scene. KCPD says they are still trying to identify and look for the suspect. FOX4 has reached out to USPS for a statement. We are still waiting to hear back.
