US road accident claims lives of Andhra techie and spouse; children safe

A tragic incident has occurred where a couple from Palakollu in Andhra Pradesh lost their lives in a road accident in the United States shortly after returning from a visit to India. Kotikalapudi Krishna Kishore, a 45-year-old software engineer who had been living in the US for over ten years, and his wife Asha, 40, were involved in a collision with a vehicle driven by an allegedly drunk driver in Washington that resulted in their immediate passing. Their two children sustained severe injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital. The bodies of the deceased couple were taken to Maryland University Hospital. Just ten days prior, the family was joyfully celebrating the holidays in Palakollu before their untimely demise. The news has left their loved ones devastated back home. Efforts are being made by the Telugu community in Washington and the Telugu Association of North America (TANA) to provide support to the surviving children and assist with the arrangements for repatriating the couple's remains. The family in India anxiously awaits updates on the condition of the injured children while grappling with this unfortunate turn of events. Another distressing incident involves the death of Nikitha Godishala, a 27-year-old woman from Hyderabad, discovered with stab wounds in Maryland after being reported missing. The authorities have identified her former partner as the main suspect in this tragic case.
