Update on investigation into fatal plane crash at Bangor Airport

Bangor International Airport held a press conference on Wednesday to provide updates on the investigation of a tragic plane crash that resulted in six fatalities. The crash occurred when a Bombardier Challenger 600 crashed during takeoff. Unfortunately, there were no survivors. The airport director, Jose Saavedra, informed the media that extreme weather conditions have been impacting the investigation progress. The airport is currently closed for operations until at least 9 a.m. Thursday. One of the victims, Shawna Collins, was identified as a Houston-based event planner and church staff member. Another victim, Jacob Hosmer, is remembered by his family as a pilot now in heaven. Tara Arnold, an attorney and spouse of Kurt Arnold, also lost her life in the crash. Nick Mastrascusa, an executive in the hospitality industry, was another victim of this tragedy. Investigations by the FAA and NTSB have begun, with the process estimated to take several days. The NTSB is seeking information from witnesses and potential sources of relevant evidence to assist in their investigation.
