U.P. crash that killed Niagara motorcyclist remains under investigation

BREITUNG, Mich. (WLUK) -- A motorcyclist died after a SUV turned in front of it in the U.P. Around 2:19 p.m. Thursday, Dickinson County dispatch received multiple 911 calls of a car and motorcycle crash near the intersection of US-2 and Baler Driver in Breitung township. Deputies say a 70-year-old Wausaukee man driving a white SUV pulling a trailer, was going east on US-2 and turned in front of a motorcycle going west on US-2, heading toward the US-2/US 141 intersection. The driver of the motorcycle, a 21-year-old Niagara man, died at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
