Unique traffic crash closes Woodleaf Drive

(FOX40.COM) — A unique traffic crash caused a brief road closure in Fair Oaks on Tuesday, and the driver was arrested for allegedly driving after "huffing inhalants." Woodleaf Drive was closed in both directions between Fair Oaks Boulevard and Tommar Drive because of the crash, the California Highway Patrol said in a social media post. No one was injured in the incident, which led to a Subaru leaning against another vehicle at about a 45 degree angle. The driver was involved in an earlier hit-and-run with a different parked car, officials said. He drove back past the first crash scene, and the victim pointed out to officers that it was the same car — and the same driver — involved in the incident. When officers went looking for the suspect, they found his car in a precarious position. The driver was arrested on suspicion of being impaired and for misdemeanor hit-and-run.
