One killed in vehicle crash in Hungarian Village on the south side

One person was killed in a crash on Parsons Ave. at East Woodrow Ave. on Wednesday evening. The Columbus Police Department were called to the scene at 6:22 p.m., according to the police department. There was an injury crash involving multiple vehicles. One person was pronounced dead at 6:26 p.m. A green 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle was northbound on Parsons Ave. approaching Woodrow Ave., at the same time a black 2012 BMW X5 M5 was southbound on Parsons Ave. waiting to turn eastbound onto Woodrow Ave., according to a police incident summary. The vehicles collided in the intersection. The motorcyclist was thrown from his vehicle. He was pronounced at the crash scene by Columbus Division of Fire personnel. The driver of the BMW was uninjured in the crash. The crash investigation is currently ongoing. We'll update this story when we get more information.
