Crash slows traffic, closes lanes on I-40 West in Raleigh
RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A man was injured in a crash that temporarily closed lanes on Interstate 40 West in Raleigh early Thursday morning. According to the Raleigh Police Department, the crash happened around 2:30 a.m. near the Interstate 440 on-ramp to westbound I-40. Police said two westbound lanes were closed while officers investigated the crash, causing minor traffic delays during the early morning commute. Authorities said the injured man was taken from the scene. His condition has not been released. All lanes have since reopened. Police have not said what caused the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
