Two injured in crash on highway 16 Near Latrobe Road, one airlifted
(FOX40.COM) — Two people were injured Tuesday afternoon in a traffic accident at the intersection of California State Route 16 and Latrobe Road, authorities said. Crews with the Amador Fire Protection District responded to the crash and found two patients at the scene. According to AFPD, one person suffered critical injuries and was airlifted from the scene by an air ambulance for further treatment. A second patient was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. The California Highway Patrol and American Legion Ambulance assisted Amador Fire crews at the scene. Officials advised drivers to use caution in the area as emergency responders worked the incident. Additional details about the crash and the patients’ conditions were not immediately available.
