Truck driver charged in fatal Miami crash injuring two and killing elderly man

A tragic multi-vehicle crash in Miami resulted in the death of an elderly man and the injury of two others, with the pickup truck driver involved being taken into custody, as stated by the police. According to reports from CBS News Miami, 32-year-old Jesus Andres Villalobos faced charges of vehicular homicide and driving without a license following the incident on Friday, in which 79-year-old Eduardo Marquez lost his life and two individuals were hospitalized. During his court appearance, a judge found enough evidence for his arrest and set bail at $7,500 for the vehicular homicide charge and $2,500 for driving without a license. The collision occurred at the intersection of Northwest 7th Street and 31st Avenue involving a white Ford F-250 driven by Villalobos, a Nissan Sentra, and a white Crown Victoria operated by Marquez. Upon investigation, it was determined that the pickup truck had struck the sedan, causing it to lose control and collide with Marquez's vehicle. Marquez was taken to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition and later passed away due to his injuries. The driver of the Sentra sustained multiple broken bones, while Villalobos and his passenger were also injured. Villalobos was found with alcohol odor on his breath and without a driver's license. He consented to a blood test for DUI analysis, which indicated he had never been issued a license. Conclusively, Villalobos was apprehended based on the information gathered from the investigation at the scene.
