Traffic fatality shuts down southbound lanes of I-35 near Onion Creek
AUSTIN (KXAN) — The southbound lanes of I-35 shut down Tuesday morning after a fatal crash around 4:00 a.m., according to Austin Police. A box truck collided with a pedestrian, according to APD; the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with officers. All lanes of southbound I-35 between Slaughter Lane and Onion Creek Parkway were closed around 4:30 a.m., per the Texas Department of Transportation.
