Three seriously injured in Jericho crash
JERICHO, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - Three people were reportedly hospitalized after a head-on crash in Jericho on Monday night. Police say that a 23-year-old Williston man was driving west, downhill, on Skunk Hollow Road in Jericho, and tried to pass a car in front of him by crossing over to the opposite lane. His car then collided with another car traveling uphill. According to authorities, the crash happened on White Oak Drive, about a quarter of a mile from River Road/Vermont Route 117. This was some time before 8:27 p.m. on Monday. The driver, a juvenile passenger, as well as the driver of the other car, a 56-year-old man from Essex, were all reportedly seriously injured and taken to UVM Medical Center, though their injuries are described as not being life-threatening. Skunk Hollow Road was closed for several hours Monday night. Police say that the crash is still being investigated. According to the Underhill-Jericho Fire Department, 24 members of their team responded to the scene, along with responders from Williston, Richmond, Essex, and Vermont State Police.
