Thousands of gallons of water needed to put out Cybertruck fire after injury crash
An improper lane change led to the fiery destruction of a Tesla on Thursday night. The incident happened on northbound State Route 167 just south of Jovita Boulevard in Pacific, where a Tesla Cybertruck and a Chevrolet Silverado pickup were traveling next to one another. According to a report from the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the Cybertruck went into the Silverado’s lane, hit the pickup, lost control, and struck the center median cable barrier. The Tesla then caught fire. Troopers said the flames from the electric vehicle were so fierce that firefighters had to use more than 2,000 gallons of water to put out the flames. The driver of the Cybertruck and his passenger were both hurt and transported to the hospital. The driver of the pickup was not injured. The WSP report said the cause of the crash was an improper lane change.
