Teen killed, 4 more injured in Blount County two-car crash
A two-vehicle crash in Blount County injured four people and took the life of a Blountsville teen. The unidentified 17-year-old was fatally wounded when the 2020 Toyota Camry they were driving hit a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder head-on. The Camry caught fire after impact. The teen was pronounced dead on the scene, while the driver of the Nissan and three more passengers were taken to UAB Hospital for treatment. While the driver and one passenger were both 31, the other two people in the Nissan included a 5 and 6-year-old. The cars crashed on Blount County 27 near Blount County 24, about six miles south of Springville. Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are investigating.
