Teen from Lebanon County dies in July 4 motorcycle accident, coroner says
A Lebanon County teen lost his life over the weekend in a motorcycle crash. Maxton Lazarony, 17, of Richland, died Saturday, July 4, after an accident in Lycoming County, according to Lycoming County Coroner Charles Kiessling Jr. The crash happened around 5 p.m. Saturday on Route 287 in Pine Township when Lazarony lost control of his bike, state police wrote in a crash report. He left the right side of the road before hitting a ditch and embankment. Troopers said Lazarony was separated from the motorcycle as the collision happened. He had been wearing a helmet but ultimately suffered traumatic injuries. Kiessling wrote in a news release that EMS personnel tried to save Kiessling, but he was ultimately pronounced dead at 5:52 p.m. Troopers said the road was dry at the time, and "no environmental factors were identified as contributing casual factors."
