Two killed in crash on U.S. 151 in Iowa County
Two people were killed Thursday afternoon in a crash on U.S. 151 in Iowa County, according to an Iowa State Patrol crash report. The crash happened at 2:45 p.m. at U.S. 151 and 110th Street. According to the report, a 2023 Kenworth construction vehicle was traveling south on U.S. 151 as a 2014 Ford Escape was traveling west on 110th Street toward the highway. Investigators said the Ford failed to stop at a stop sign, leading to a collision between the two vehicles. Both vehicles came to rest in the southwest ditch. The driver of the Ford, a 33-year-old from Amana, and a 14-year-old passenger from North Liberty were killed. Their names are being withheld. The crash remains under investigation.
