Teen driver involved in Parke County crash
UPDATE — The teen driver has succumbed to his injuries, said Parke County Sheriff Jason Frazier. All Riverton Parke Junior All Riverton Parke Junior-Senior High School events scheduled for this Friday, Saturday, and the weekend are canceled, according to a Facebook post from the Southwest Parke Community School Corporation. PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — At approximately 11:25 a.m. a motor vehicle accident occurred on State Road 163, according to Parke County Sheriff Jason Frazier. A 17-year-old male was traveling east on State Road 163, when he crossed the center line and ran off the north side of the road, striking trees, Sheriff Frazier said. Frazier added that the male is being transported to Union Hospital of Clinton, where he will be flown to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Injuries are unknown at this time. Lyford Fire, Parke County EMS, and Clinton Police assisted Parke County deputies at the scene.
