Tanker truck accident shuts down all lanes of I-695 inner loop in Baltimore County
The Inner Loop of Interstate 695 is closed on Tuesday morning due to a rollover crash involving a tanker truck carrying around 7,000 gallons of gasoline, leading to a fuel leak. There have been no reported injuries. Both the Inner and Outer Loops of I-695 are expected to be closed for an extended period of time. All Inner Loop lanes are closed before Exit 11A, and the left lane of the Outer Loop is closed at Exit 11. Response teams from the Maryland Department of the Environment and Hazmat are on-site and conducting foam operations. The crash occurred on icy roads following a winter storm on Sunday.
