Tanker crash, pile up shuts down I-91 South in Hartford
HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A portion of Interstate 91 South was closed, causing traffic Wednesday morning, as crews cleaned up a crash involving a tractor-trailer tanker and a handful of other vehicles. The highway was closed near exits 30 and 29A, but has since reopened. The crash was first reported just prior to 6 a.m., according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation. State police said preliminary information shows eight total vehicles involved, including a jackknifed tractor-trailer tanker with a propane leak. Minor injuries were reported, according to state police.
