SUU pilot, student hospitalized after helicopter crash at Cedar City airport

Two people were hospitalized after a helicopter belonging to Southern Utah University crashed at the Cedar City Regional Airport. A pilot and a student were in the helicopter when it crashed Saturday morning, according to officials with the Cedar City Police Department. Both were transported to the Cedar City hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported. The crash caused significant damage to the helicopter, but did not damage anything else at the airport.
