SUU pilot, student hospitalized after helicopter crash at Cedar City airport
Two people were hospitalized after a helicopter belonging to Southern Utah University crashed at the Cedar City Regional Airport. A pilot and a student were in the helicopter when it crashed Saturday morning, according to officials with the Cedar City Police Department. Both were transported to the Cedar City hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported. The crash caused significant damage to the helicopter, but did not damage anything else at the airport. The cause of the crash was not yet released, with officials noting that it remains under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board. ___
