(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) said that on Monday, June 22, a semi-truck hauling cars rolled over, causing the closure of all southbound lanes of I-25 between Fountain and Pueblo. CSP said at around 1:15 p.m. on Monday, troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on southbound I-25, five miles south of the Pikes Peak International Raceway. The crash involved a semi-truck hauling cars and a pickup truck. Initial reports indicate the semi went off the road into the median and hit the guardrail. The semi then overcorrected and rolled. CSP said it is unknown how many people were in both vehicles at the time. All southbound lanes of I-25 are shut down for cleanup, and drivers are also advised that northbound lanes are experiencing extremely slow traffic as well. CSP does not have a timeline for the reopening of I-25. The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) said southbound I-25 is closed due to a crash on Monday, June 22.
