Suspected DUI driver runs stop sign, hits two cars and injures pregnant passenger

Multiple people, including a pregnant woman, were injured in a car accident after a car failed to stop at a stop sign on Tuesday. CHP responded to a car accident in the area of Belmont Avenue and Siskiyou Avenue at around 4:15 p.m. According to the investigation, a 59-year-old Richy Saucedo was driving a Honda CR-V northbound on Siskiyou Avenue when he failed to stop at the stop sign. CHP says that Sauccedo was suspected to be under the influence at the time of the crash. Sauccedo car entered the intersection and crashed into a Honda Civic traveling eastbound on Belmont Avenue. His car continued to travel until it crashed into a Nissan Sentra traveling westbound on Belmont Avenue. The Honda Civic was occupied by three passengers, one of them being a pregnant woman. They were transported to a nearby hospital for major injuries. [RELATED] 17-year-old shot in Madera, another 17-year-old arrested for attempted murder Sauccedo also received major injuries. CHP says he faces multiple felony DUI charges after he recovers from his injuries. This investigation remains ongoing.
