Stockbridge Post Office closed indefinitely due to car crashing into building.
The Stockbridge Post Office is currently closed following an incident where a car collided with the building on Walter Way last Saturday. The U.S. Postal Service has temporarily halted all retail operations due to the damage. In the meantime, individuals needing in-person services can visit the Rex Post Office on 6460 Evans Drive, about two miles north of the Stockbridge location. The Rex office operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to noon, remaining closed on Sundays. P.O. Box mail will be redirected to the Rex Post Office for pickup, where customers are required to show a valid photo ID to retrieve any mail or packages. Although a reopening date for the Stockbridge Post Office is uncertain, officials express gratitude for customers' understanding as repairs are being carried out.
