SPD investigates fatal crash involving pedestrian Friday night
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The Savannah Police Department's (SPD) Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian. The incident took place at the intersection of Eisenhower Drive and Waters Avenue on Friday night. Officers with the Savannah Police responded to the scene at approximately 7:10 p.m. and found an adult male victim. Officials say he was transported to Memorial Health, where he later died due to his injuries. According to an initial investigation, the pedestrian was crossing the road outside of a crosswalk when he was struck by a car. Officials say the driver remained on scene.
