Man dead after Osage County motorcycle crash
OSAGE COUNTY, Okla. — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a 44-year old man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Osage County Tuesday morning. Jeremy Bearden from Ponca City was traveling westbound on US-60 when he lost a box off the back of his motorcycle. OHP said Bearden pulled his motorcycle onto the shoulder of the road and allowed a vehicle to pass by. Bearden then rode his motorcycle back onto the highway and tried to turn around. OHP said another vehicle, also traveling westbound on US-60, hit Bearden's motorcycle while he was trying to turn around. Bearden, and a passenger, were both ejected off the motorcycle. Bearden was pronounced dead and the passenger was injured. The vehicle, whose driver was not injured, left the road and stopped in a ditch.
