Six teens injured in Albany after Western Avenue car crash
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Police are investigating a car crash that took place on Western Avenue in Albany over the weekend. The crash happened just before 6:30 p.m. on Sunday near Winthrop Avenue. Officers responding to Western Avenue's 600 block on May 10 determined that a 13-year-old allegedly lost control of car while recklessly driving eastbound in the vicinity with five other teens inside the vehicle. The car reportedly rolled over several times before coming to a stop. The rollover resulted in a 14-year-old passenger being ejected from the car. The girl was taken to Albany Medical Center to be treated for significant injuries but is listed in stable condition. The other five teens, ranging in age from 13 to 15 years old, were all tended to for non-life-threatening injuries.
