Single-vessel boating accident in Shem Creek results in fatality, SCDNR says
MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) - A vessel departing Shem Creek with seven people aboard on Saturday night struck a dock, resulting in a fatality, states South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. According to SCDNR, officers and investigators responded to a vessel that had crashed into a dock on Saturday night. One passenger was pronounced deceased on scene, SCDNR says. The remaining individuals were transferred to a hospital for treatment and have been released. This is an ongoing investigation.
