Sheboygan teen makes miraculous recovery after ‘horrible’ corn grinder accident
LIMA, Wis. (WFRV) -- An inspiring and uplifting update to a story about a Sheboygan teen's leg being caught inside a corn grinder was shared today via Facebook. Mason Kramer, an 18-year-old Lima resident, suffered life-threatening injuries over three weeks ago on June 18 during a horrific accident that took place inside a farm silo. Now, he's shared an update on his road to recovery. "I lost about 25% of my body's blood, which is a life-threatening and even deadly amount to lose," explained Kramer. "I had a total of three surgeries, with all three totaling up to be about 23 hours." Kramer went on to explain how his healing process has been thus far. "I have made a recovery that some of the doctors, therapists, surgeons, and nurses have never seen. I have already walked 100 feet with assist on a walker and have transferred inside and out of a car, and went up stairs." Kramer's story is an inspiring one to hear, and he wanted to thank the community for all their support during these trying times. "If it wasn't for everybody's prayers, I wouldn't be here making these posts. God bless each and every one of you." WFRV will update this story as necessary.
