Seven injured in accident caused by driver running red light in Near North Side Chicago
A crash occurred on the Near North Side of the city early Thursday morning, resulting in seven individuals being transported to the hospital. The incident took place at 3:48 a.m. on N. LaSalle Drive when a red Honda traveling eastbound ran a red traffic signal and collided with another vehicle. Three occupants of the Honda, two 21-year-old men, and a 20-year-old woman, were taken to Northwestern Hospital. The driver of the second vehicle, a 38-year-old man, was also transported to Northwestern, along with three passengers, a 23-year-old man, a 30-year-old man, and a 29-year-old woman, who were taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital. While their conditions were not disclosed, the police confirmed that all individuals were in stable condition. Additionally, no citations were issued as a result of the crash.
