Sentencing Thursday for driver who pleaded guilty in hit-and-run crash that killed teen buggy driver

Jacob Wright, of Grand River, will be sentenced Thursday afternoon after pleading guilty to charges stemming from a deadly hit-and-run crash involving a horse-drawn buggy. Court documents show Wright pleaded guilty to knowingly leaving the scene of a deadly crash and failure to assist. The crash happened on Nov. 12 on a rural road near Murray in Clarke County, resulting in the death of 16-year-old Elmer Borntrager, the driver of the buggy.
