SC: One dead after crash in Upstate
The South Carolina Highway Patrol reports that one person has died after a crash Friday evening.Troopers say a car was traveling north on Aiken Road in Spartanburg County when the car went off the right side of the road and flipped several times.The passenger in the backseat of the car was transported to a hospital, where they later died.On Saturday morning, the Spartanburg County coroner said in an email:"On Friday evening June 5th, my office responded to Spartanburg Medical Center for a death in the ER as a result of a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Aiken Road in Woodruff area of Spartanburg County. The crash occurred around 8:25 PM Friday evening. "The decedent has been identified as Anna Maureen LeCoq, 27 years of age, of Bridwell Road in Woodruff. The collision is being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol. "We will follow up with a forensic exam.
