Woman killed after car hits parked tractor-trailer on I-75 in NKY
KENTON COUNTY, Ky. (WKRC) - A fatal crash on Interstate 75 in Kenton County is under investigation after a driver struck a tractor-trailer parked on the highway’s shoulder. On July 3, the Kenton County Police Department’s Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction team was requested by the Villa Hills Police Department to investigate a fatal collision on I-75 South near the 186 mile marker. Police said Stacy Wick, 47, of Verona, was driving southbound on I-75 when she entered the right-side emergency shoulder and hit a tractor-trailer that was parked on the shoulder. The semi was operated by AG Expedited Inc. It was stationary and out of the travel lanes after experiencing mechanical issues. Wick was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the front passenger was taken to UC Medical Center and was listed in stable condition. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
