Locke Duty Chief Ray Dyer said the collision happened when the driver, hauling the empty Maersk trailer on West Cayuga Street, failed to stop at the stop sign. Dyer said the driver was taken by ambulance to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center with minor injuries. The driver in the other tractor-trailer, who was hauling woodchips, was not hurt. Dyer said the road was closed for hours while crews cleared debris and spilled diesel fuel. The driver who caused the crash was issued tickets.
