Road closed after fatal Plainfield crash

PLAINFIELD, Ind. — A fatal crash in Plainfield on Tuesday morning has shutdown roadways, and drivers are being told to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. Officers were dispatched on Tuesday at 8:58 a.m. on a report of an accident investigation at the intersection of Stout Heritage Parkway and S State Road 267 on a report of an entrapment. Upon arrival to the scene, Plainfield Police Department officers found that two vehicles were involved in the collision. A short time later, officers did confirm a fatal crash. Authorities have secured the area and the roadway around the crash site has been blocked off. Crash reconstructionist are on the scene are investigating circumstances surrounding the crash.
