Rescuer saves woman from wrecked car in icy Kansas creek
An area of road near Andover, Kansas is currently closed following a car accident that occurred on Friday. The road section on Harry, located just east of 159th Street East at Fourmile Creek, will remain inaccessible until sometime next week. During the incident, a man rescued a woman from her vehicle after it crashed through a guardrail and into the creek. The woman was hospitalized with minor injuries and cold water exposure. The Andover Police Department announced the closure of Harry from Meadowhaven to 159th Street East due to guardrail damage and the need for replacement parts. The decision to shut down the road was made in consideration of the approaching winter storm for safety precautions.
