‘Quite a pickle’: Semi crash leads to massive spill, shutting down Ohio highway
PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) -- Pickles (yes, pickles) shut down an Ohio highway Wednesday, July 22, the Ohio Department of Transportation Columbus confirmed. ODOT video shared of the truck crash on state Route 316 in Pickaway County showed boxes and jars of pickled cucumbers strewn about, along with a heavily damaged semi. No one was reported injured in the crash, but ODOT said "the pickles, however, are speared." ODOT claimed the incident was "quite the pickle" and it took hours to clean up the mess. It was not clear what led to the crash but an investigation is underway.
