Police probe deadly accident in northeast.
The Albuquerque Police Department (APD) is currently investigating a tragic collision involving a motorcycle and a Jeep at the intersection of Menaul Boulevard NE and University Boulevard NE. The incident occurred in the afternoon, with a gray 2014 Jeep turning left onto southbound University Boulevard from westbound Menaul Boulevard on a green light. At the same time, a Gray BMW motorcycle was traveling east on Menaul in the far right lane also on a green light. The motorcycle collided with the Jeep at the intersection, resulting in the death of the motorcycle driver, an adult male. Fortunately, the driver of the Jeep was unharmed. Neither driver appeared to be impaired, but the speed of the motorcycle is suspected to have played a role in the accident. As investigations continue, more updates will be provided as new information emerges.
