Police in Morgan City investigating deadly collision
Morgan City Police are currently looking into a tragic accident that occurred on Monday morning. At 7:17 a.m. on December 1, 2025, officers were called to the scene at LA 70 and Victor II Blvd where a collision involving a Jeep and a Motorcycle had taken place. The investigation revealed that a 2013 Jeep Wrangler was heading south on LA 70 and attempted a left turn onto Victor II Blvd when it was struck by a 2001 Honda VTX Motorcycle traveling north. The collision resulted in the death of Gregory Free, 42, of Morgan City, who was pronounced dead at a local hospital. A passenger on the motorcycle was also injured and taken to a different hospital. The driver of the Jeep Wrangler was also injured and transported for medical care. The police are continuing to investigate the incident.
