Passenger died after being ejected from a speeding vehicle on the city's Southeast side

SAN ANTONIO — A passenger was killed after being ejected from a vehicle that veered off the roadway on San Antonio’s Southeast Side. The crash happened Saturday night at almost 8 p.m. in the 9000 block of the SE Loop 410 eastbound access road. SAPD officers were called to the scene for a major accident involving one vehicle. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been ejected from the car. San Antonio Fire Department (SAFD) personnel pronounced him dead at the scene. An investigation on scene claims that another man was allegedly driving the car at a high rate of speed when it veered off the road, causing the passenger to be thrown from the vehicle. SAPD said the driver showed signs of intoxication and is being treated as the suspect in the case.
