Woman says she went to heaven while dead for 13 minutes

(NewsNation) — Nicole Kerr tells NewsNation she visited heaven momentarily after being pronounced clinically dead during a car accident four decades ago. In the years following, Kerr detailed her experiences, culminating in the release of her book "You Are Deathless." She said she was pronounced dead for more than the 13 minutes between the 911 call and when paramedics arrived on the scene. Kerr, now 62, was 19 years old when pronounced dead. Kerr, then an Air Force Academy cadet, was the passenger in a car that spun out of control and smashed into a boulder, sending her flying through the air before she was found crumpled up on the road. She was pronounced dead at the scene, only to be resuscitated by a sternal knuckle press. "My soul had left when I went through the windshield and got up in the air because when I froze up there, I knew when I hit the ground, I was going to die. So I called out, 'Oh my God, help me.' And at that moment, an angel, we all have guardian angels, birth angels, whatever you want to call it, it came down, took me in a soul form over to the other side, heaven, whatever you want to call it," Kerr told NewsNation. "I could actually look down and see my body in a ditch, and my memory, the only thing that I remembered for 19 years was this clear, bright, white, indescribable light. ... So all of the streams of light cocooned me. I felt so safe and I felt just in a state of bliss. It was like I was an astronaut floating in outer space." Kerr later said she believed this feeling was the "love of God," before describing what she claimed to be heaven as "an explosion of colors." She stated angels were also present. "They're not speaking English over there and so one of the messages that I heard was that we here on Earth have to ask them for help because we have something called free will," she said. "So we have a choice, but if you need something or want something, you need to start a relationship and a dialogue with the angelic realm and start asking them ... even something as small as a parking space."
