Part of major Vandalia road closed for most of afternoon
VANDALIA, Ohio (WDTN) -- A crash Monday has prompted a portion of a major road in Vandalia to close. The Vandalia Division of Fire announced South Dixie Drive between Elva Court and Scott Drive is closed because of a crash. According to the city of Vandalia, the crash involved three vehicles. Two people have been transported from the scene. One person was treated at the scene, according to Vandalia Division of Fire. According to Captain Brian Krimm, of the Vandalia PD, the crash occurred when a red vehicle (make/model is unclear as of writing) crashed into the rear of an Acura (white) while traveling southbound. The impact sent them tumbling forward while sideways until they crashed into a Chevy (grey). Officials expect the roadway to be blocked for "most of this afternoon.
