Panhandle businesswoman Elizabeth Campbell killed in traffic accident
OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) - The family of a prominent member of the Panhandle business community is confirming her death in a traffic accident. On Saturday, around 11:25 a.m., 74-year-old Elizabeth Campbell was killed. She was walking in the pedestrian lane along Bluewater Boulevard when an SUV hit her from behind. The 86-year-old driver from Niceville was not hurt. Elizabeth Campbell's husband, Bill Campbell, started a jewelry kiosk in San Destin in 1994, which grew into McCaskill & Company Fine Jewelry Store in Destin. The couple built the business together, working side-by-side since 1999. A post on the business's Facebook page, a friend was quoted as saying, Elizabeth Campbell was one of the brightest, wisest, kindest, most wonderful people, who exuded joy and strength.
