One man dead after crash on Creekwood Park Boulevard in Lenoir City
LENOIR CITY, Tenn. (WATE) — One person is dead after a crash on Creekwood Park Boulevard in Lenoir City on Wednesday. The Lenoir City Police Department responded to the 7600 block of Creekwood Park Blvd at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15. A release said that one vehicle was going north on Creekwood Park Blvd, while the other was making a turn. A man involved in the crash was airlifted to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The other driver was also treated for injuries, but LCPD said he is expected to recover. "At this time, the identity of the deceased is being withheld out of respect and privacy for the family. We ask our community to keep everyone affected by this tragic incident in your thoughts and prayers," wrote LCPD. The circumstances around the crash remain under investigation. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is assisting with crash reconstruction efforts, and the 9th Judicial District Attorney's Office is also supporting the investigation.
