One dead, one hospitalized after tour bus collides with motorcycle on US-89, officials confirm

SOUTHERN UTAH (ABC4) — An adult male has been confirmed dead after his motorcycle collided with a tour bus on US-89 near the Utah-Arizona border. According to Utah Highway Patrol (UHP), the crash occurred on US-89 at milepost 1. UHP has confirmed that the motorcyclist, an adult male, has died as a result of the crash. The identity of that individual has not been released at this time. The tour bus driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. There were 29 occupants on the bus, all reportedly from the United Kingdom. The bus' destination was Kanab for the night. At this time, UHP said that no other occupants were transported with injuries. The circumstances surrounding the crash have not been released, however, there are road closures in the area as officials investigate. Traffic is now alternating, according to UHP.
