One dead after crash involving semi in Madison County
WEST JEFFERSON, Ohio (WCMH) -- One person is dead and another was transported after a crash on Sunday morning in Madison County. According to the West Jefferson Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 1:43 a.m. on Interstate 71 Southbound near mile post 82. The highway patrol said a sliver 2020 Freightliner Cascadia was traveling south of Interstate 71 when the driver struck a gray 2025 Honda Accord, driven by Tobias Forsythe, 21, of Gahanna. Forsythe sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the 2020 Freightliner Cascadia was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Both drivers were the sole occupants of each vehicles. The crash remains under investigation by the West Jefferson Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
